U.K. Embrace the Obamas
The media has been making a big ‘ol fuss over protocol and wardrobe choices of the Obama’s visit to the UK this week. First off, the media stated that the usually stylish First Lady went down a notch by wearing a cardigan and not a full-out dress to meet Queen Elizabeth. Yes, perhaps if I were meeting the Queen of England, I would wear a dress that was stylish, a tad conservative but also comfortable. I’m also not the First Lady though. Let her wear what she wants to wear! I think the outfit was fine and fit her personality. That’s just my opinion though. The second item to get a lot of coverage was the fact that Michelle Obama touched the Queen with an embrace at the meeting. (see photo below)

To clarify, the Queen first reached out to Mrs. Obama and embraced her. If I recall in the motion picture, The Queen, it was stated that one must always wait for the Queen to first extend a hand before doing it yourself. So, if that is indeed the case, Mrs. Obama did absolutely nothing wrong. I, for one, am glad that the Queen is reaching out to our new Head of State. It’s about time the world has a positive view of our wonderful country!

What’s wrong with touching the queen?
Is she God?
